2017 jumped off to a great start as Rhonda and some of the best talent in Chicago paid tribute to three legendary jazz voices; Dionne Warwick, Nancy Wilson, and the great Lena Horne, at a Black History Month event at the Homewood Library in February. Playing with Rhonda that afternoon was Roger Weaver (keyboards), Glover Washington (drums), and Tito Thomas (bass).

In April, Pieces was again the entertainment at the South Suburban College Foundation’s annual fundraiser, “CHANGE A LIFE – CHANGE A COMMUNITY”. It was a great gig for a great cause.

In the beginning of August, we were invited back to be the entertainment at The Benjamin O. Davis VFW Post 311 Commander’s Ball Scholarship Awards and Dinner Dance at the Tinley Park Convention Center.

2016 was a great year for Rhonda and the band.

In January, we did a wonderful wedding planned by Wedding Love Notes Forever.


In May, I had the honor of sing the Star Spangled Banner before the 87th Commencement Ceremony at South Suburban College.

In the beginning of August, we were the band at The Benjamin O. Davis VFW Post 311 Commander’s Ball Scholarship Awards and Dinner Dance at the Tinley Park Convention Center. Rhonda High Browne (vocalist), Bernard Hudson (male vocalist) Marvin Weatherspoon (keyboards), Glover Washington (drums), Tito Thomas (bass), Kenneth Jones (guitar), Carl Beauchamp (saxophone), James Thornton (DJ). Performing Jazz, R&B and Dance Music.

Later, at the end of the month, we performed for the Olympia Fields Golf Outing and Scholarship Awards Dinner at the Olympia Fields Country Club with Glover Washington (drums), Tito Thomas (bass), and Roger Weaver (keyboards) Performing Smooth Jazz.

In April of 2016, Pieces was the entertainment at the South Suburban College Foundation’s annual fundraiser, DREAMS AND DESTINATIONS. I had some great musicians with me that night; Bernard Hudson (male vocalist) Dolpha Fowler (keyboards), Glover Washington (drums), Tito Thomas (bass), Matt Kramer (guitar), Carl Beauchamp (saxophone) and Sam Hankins (trumpet). It was a great gig for a great cause.
